I'm a writer who does tree consulting work in my semi-retired years. I also play the bluegrass banjo in an eclectic style no one can call derivative. I am inspired by jamming with folks I know, and folks I have just met. I would climb and prune if I still could. Nothing beats it for keeping in shape and mental health. but helping people with their tree problems is a great puzzle that uh- what were we talking about- yes yes, keeps me sharp!
